  15. The solution seems to be the RDBflags program. I set the LastDrive bit to 
  16. yes for my internal (boot) drive, and everything works like I want.

  18. I was becoming hesitent about leaving a cartidge in the Syquest 
  19. constantly, because it would sometimes not spin up fast enough to be 
  20. recognized by the ScsiMounter command in the user-startup. When this 
  21. happened, even a warm boot would not work, I had to power off and wait 
  22. then power on. Unlike a floppy, the drive motor runs all the time when a 
  23. cartidge is inserted, and unlike a regular hard drive, I don't think the 
  24. Syquest is _really_ intended to run _all_ of the time.
